How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described below:

  • Banks and lenders. To obtain quotations, pre-approvals and mortgage offers, we share your application and supporting documents with the lenders you agree we may approach. Each lender then handles your information under its own privacy policy and may carry out its own checks, including a credit report from the Al Etihad Credit Bureau.

07

International transfers

Some of our service providers store or process information on servers located outside the United Arab Emirates, and for clients who live abroad we may need to exchange information with parties in your country of residence. Where this happens we take steps to ensure your information receives an adequate level of protection, including using providers with recognised security standards and appropriate contractual safeguards, in line with the PDPL.

08

Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy. In general:

  • Enquiry records are kept for as long as needed to follow up your request and for a reasonable period afterwards.
  • Application files, identification and financial documents, and records of the advice we gave are retained for the duration of our relationship and for the period required by UAE commercial, tax, anti-money-laundering and limitation laws.
  • Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.

When information is no longer required we delete or anonymise it securely.

09

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, rate-limiting on our forms and staff confidentiality obligations. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information in line with industry standards. Please send identification and financial documents only through the channels we ask you to use.
